All parts of lake Suontee are extremely different. The north end of the lake is eutrophic and the water there is brown. There is a lot of vegetation on the shores of the lake. Therefore it is an excellent place to catch pike. After a narrow sound there is the beautiful scenery of lake Etelä-Suontee. Lake Etelä-Suontee is oligotrophic and clear watered and the shores of the lake are rocky. In the lake there are a plenty of islands and ranges of rocks. It is an excellent place to troll lake trout. Lodges to catch a pike you can find in the bays and sounds. Lake Etelä-Suontee reaches south Savo. The parts of the lake which are in Central Finland belongs to the fishing ground. It is also possible to buy fishing permit to the parts of the lake which are in Savo. On lake Suontee there are many places on where you can launch your boat. There are only one fireplace on the shore of the lake.
