The rapid Reinikankoski is the next rapid on the waterway of lake Pihlajavesi. This 500 500 metres long rapid is situated between the lakes Luomusjärvi and Hankajärvi (also called Lapinjärvi). The upper part of the rapid is a slowly flowing race- and quiet water area. There are a lot of rocks in the rapid at this point. The lowest part of the river flows strongly and in many beds. The upper part is nearly in its natural state and the lower part flows in a country landscape (farm, fields, a road). There is a bridge crossing the rapid and there is also a fireplace next to the bridge. Lake trout and rainbow trout are the most wanted fish in the rapid Reinikankoski. Both fish are mainly planted there, but the situation will be better when the rapid is restored in the future.”
