Torch fishing in Finland

Torch fishing is exciting and rich in atmosphere in dark nights in late summer.

Torch fishing is done by moving on a boat near the shallow shores and looking for fish with a light. Once a fish is seen, the fisherman hits it with a spear against the bottom and lifts the fish into the boat. A calm weather and quiet movement is important in order to be succesful in torch fishing.
