Casting on running waters in Finland

Several rapid fishing grounds in Finland offer excellent possibilities for casting. Casting is possible on nearly all rapid fishing grounds. Brown trout and rainbow trout are fished with casting tackles in running waters.

It is possible to fish from a shore on small fishing grounds. It is useful to use a boat on some bigger grounds. Fishing can be a little difficult on small rapids when the level of water is low in the middle of summer.

The cast is directed to probable lodges. It is useful to cast a while in the same place, because the lure must float close enough to the fish. The colour and the floating depth of the lure should be changed. Lures should be floated as if they were small injured fish.
